[Grand Championship] MY:Kaijin vs MA:Misskinki - 25th Jul, 2010
MY:Kaijin vs MA:Misskinki 25th July, 2010 Background Music: "Battle Theme"
Kaijin
started the match with an obvious intention of disabling Misskinki's
Druid. His first attempt to poison the Druid with Toxic's Sword failed,
and it warned Misskinki about a potential AP drain/ control threat. She
popped a Purification Scroll right away while trying to cancel Kaijin's
scroll. Misskinki ended her turn with a War Cry to prevent Kaijin from
using Beast Soul on his mid-row. This action was easily countered by a
simple Holy Guard from Kaijin, thus making Misskinki one step behind
Kaijin right from the early game.
After successfully parried
Misskinki's attacks, Kaijin went all-out attack with a Chaos Edge
followed by some spiking. Getting too attracted to Kaijin's scrolling
monk last turn, Misskinki completely forget to awaken her Druid. Kaijin
had succeeded in stopping the Druid very early, which gained him a very
big advantage to advance to the mid game.
Losing too many
activations in defending, Misskinki's counterattack seemed too
fragmented as she tried to regain the balance by applying pressure on
Kaijin's team. One stun attempt along with Freezing Atmosphere and Mana
Seal didn't look so dangerous to Kaijin's defense line. More notable,
after this turn Misskinki's team was completely open to attacks, she was
relying solely on a Purification Scroll to deflect Kaijin's next
assault. Interestingly, this proved to be pretty effective since Kaijin
had only 1 Ranger in his formation who was the Prophet.
Realizing
that he might not be able to apply controlling over Misskinki this
turn, Kaijin decided to go for an all-out spike on her Druid, which left
the poor duo with a nearly empty HP bar. From this point on, the match
was absolutely Kaijin's as Misskinki could no longer keep her calmness,
desperately trying to spike through Kaijin's wall. The match ended with
Kaijin's deserve victory.
Kaijin:
he chose to go with 6 melees (including his main) despite knowing that
his opponent had an Elementalist. Although he might suffer a lot from
the Elementalist, he could also achieve 2 things : break through the
tanking row very early in the game, and invisibly disable Misskinki's
two bows, since she doesn't really have any snipe targets. This build
was brilliant at early game, however if he was to fail at destroying
Misskinki's Druid before the late game, it might turn out to be really
bad for him as he couldn't hold the ground as firmly as before anymore. Misskinki:
she didn't prepare enough for this match. Right from the start, we can
notice her build inferiority compared to Kaijin's. Virtually, her
rangers couldn't leave any impressions in this match. Her mistakes in
the early game plus the build disadvantage signal a loss right when the
mid-game started, even though her late-game handling was pretty good.
